Patricia Vile

Patricia has 30 years of experience in education, business development and administration. Following her experience as an educator, Patricia completed her Master’s degree in Urban Policy and Planning with a healthcare emphasis. As a consultant for the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association, she participated in the original design, development and national implementation of managed care programs. As the VP of a third party administrator, she designed, marketed and managed self-insured health plans. Patricia was the practice builder and manager for a physician in solo practice.

Taking a three year hiatus from healthcare, Patricia worked to resettle Soviet refugees in Chicago. Working primarily with displaced professionals, she created networks and business opportunities for physicians, nurses, engineers, technicians and musicians.

Patricia is an avid volunteer. She served as a trustee and president of the Glencoe Public Library and president of Art Encounter, a non-profit organization that brings art to seniors and underserved Chicago school children. Most recently she helped organized a seniors program, Grandparents for Social Action. In 2005 and 2006, Patricia worked with village agencies in Uganda and El Salvador.

In 2007, Patricia created Volunteer Expeditions, a company that plans and organizes group travel to rebuild New Orleans and other impoverished and devastated communities.
